Welcome

All are welcome in this place

We invite into these ancient walls all who search for God and who seek the transforming love of Jesus Christ in Sacraments, in Scripture and in fellowship – with silence, prayer and music to uplift.

The role of the Friends

To provide a Christian mission for the thousands of visitors to St. John’s Kirk every year and to ensure that the sacred environment that has existed in
St. John’s Kirk for almost 900 years is appropriately maintained.

The Friends serve also to enhance the public’s experience of Scotland’s architectural, cultural, religious and artistic heritage as is exemplified in St John’s Kirk advancing the knowledge of the history of St John’s Kirk

Repairs and restoration

“We need to ensure that this historic building, central to both Perth and Scottish Reformation history, is saved for future generations. I am sure the good people of Perth will support the appeal. Donations can be made online and there are donation forms available in the church.” – Murdo Fraser MSP
