Celebrating an Historic Centenary: Fanindra Nath Bose and the RSA

Join us at St John’s Kirk of Perth on Wednesday, 19th March at 2pm for a fascinating talk by Robin Rodger of the Royal Scottish Academy, marking the centenary of Fanindra Nath Bose’s appointment as an Associate of the Royal Scottish Academy in 1925.

Mr Rodger will explore his significance within the Academy’s history and examine Bose’s life in both Scotland and India, shedding light on his artistic journey and cultural influences. Additionally, Mr Rodger will discuss the recent exhibition at the RSA featuring Bose’s artwork, highlighting the rediscovery of his work and its significance today.

The talk will further explore the connections between St John’s Kirk of Perth and the Royal Scottish Academy, offering insights into Scotland’s rich artistic and cultural heritage.
